Deputies investigating armed robbery at Academy Sports in Macon
Deputies say the suspect pulled a gun on a store clerk before leaving on a bicycle Tuesday afternoon.

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — Deputies are investigating an armed robbery that happened Tuesday afternoon at Academy Sports + Outdoors on Eisenhower Parkway, according to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies say the call came into the 911 center at 12:46 p.m.
According to the sheriff’s office, a man entered the store at 1689 Eisenhower Parkway, took several items and tried to leave without paying.
When a store clerk confronted him, the man pulled out a gun and pointed it at the employee, the release said. No one was injured.
Deputies said the suspect left the area on a blue bicycle stolen from the store, riding north on Key Street.
The sheriff’s office says the man was between 30 and 40 years old and about six feet tall. He was wearing a black t-shirt and gray pants.
The case is under investigation.
