AARP TEK Seminar helps educate senior citizens in Middle Georgia

MACON, Georgia(41NBC/WMGT) – Non Profit organization, AARP host it’s first National Technology Education Seminar in the Middle Georgia area.

Residents age fifty and up gathered at the McAfee Towers on Gray Highway in Macon to get some pointers on how use smart tablets and other person technology devices.

TEK advisor April Terblanche says the classes aim to cross the digital divide by teaching the participates the fundamentals of technology. Terblanche adds that the most interesting part of the sessions was teaching the participates how to do selfies.  

TEK next two sessions will be held August 13th from 10 am to 12 noon and 2pm to 4 pm at the McAfee Towers on Gray Highway.
