Aaron’s store employees in Macon ambushed and robbed

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Bibb sheriff’s deputies are searching for an armed suspect after an Aaron’s store was robbed Wednesday morning.

Authorities say the suspect came through the side of the building on Log Cabin Drive through a hole he built. He then waited for employees to arrive before ambushing them, demanding money. The suspect took cell phones and car keys from the victims, then fired his weapon and left through the same hole.

He escaped in a green 1999 Mercury Mountaineer stolen from one of the employees, with the tag number XF151G.

The suspect is about 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighs around 150 pounds, wearing all-black clothing and a black face cover.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Bibb Sheriff’s Office at 751-7500.
