It’s been a partly cloudy day around Middle Georgia and a few showers have lurked just to the southwest of the region through the afternoon. The southwestern counties of Middle Georgia could see a stray shower or two this evening. Overnight rain odds will increase further, especially after midnight. The western parts of Middle Georgia will likely see rain moving in ahead of sunrise tomorrow. Overnight lows will be in the upper 50s and lower 60s. Wind will be light and variable.

A cloudy Wednesday is expected across the Peach State with numerous shower and storm opportunities throughout the day. No severe weather is expected, however any storms that form could still bring small hail and a bit of wind. Highs will reach the upper 70s across most of Middle Georgia. Wind will again be light and variable.

More rain chances are expected to finish the work week and carry into Mother’s Day weekend. Rain odds will likely stay high through the weekend and into next week as an Omega Block pattern has set up across the US. This pattern will need to either shift or break down before more sunshine and heat take over the Southeast again.
