A bit above average Wednesday

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Temperatures will reach the mid to upper 80s Wednesday afternoon.
This Evening
A mostly sunny afternoon should give way to clear skies through the overnight hours. It will be a more pleasant night as things will be less muggy courtesy of a light wind out of the northwest. Temperatures will bottom out in the low to mid 60s, or a few degrees above average for early October.
Tomorrow
Partly cloudy skies are likely Wednesday as temperatures rise into the mid to upper 80s. Wind will blow out of the east-northeast at around 5-10 mph. Rain is not expected, but a stray shower or two can’t be completely ruled out.
Overnight skies will likely remain partly cloudy as a bit of moisture returns to the atmosphere courtesy of easterly winds at around 5 mph. Lows will be in the mid 60s.
The Tropics
Hurricane Kirk continues to churn in the open water of the Atlantic Ocean. There is another area further east of that that could become a depression in the next 24 hours or so. In the Gulf of Mexico another area is being monitored for development, however the odds are only at 40% for the next 7 days.
