Juveniles charged in Dollar General burglary

The Bibb County Sheriff’s office responded to a commercial burglary alarm on October 27 at the Dollar General on Napier Ave. When deputies arrive on the scene, they witness two male suspects in the parking lot of the Middle Georgia Rescue Mission shaking a cash register. The suspects ran away when deputies approached, but were caught after a brief chase. A third suspect was caught near the store. All three suspects were juveniles between 12 and 13 years old that had run away from the Georgia Industrial Children’s Home.

When deputies reviewed surveillance footage from the store, all three suspects were on the video. They could be seen breaking the store’s windows, and stealing food and other items from inside. The suspects were issued a court date to appear in Juvenile Court before being returned to the Children’s Home.
