Middle Georgia group collects donations for Mexico and Puerto Rico
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Mexico and the Caribbean have faced many disasters in the last month. Between earthquakes and hurricanes, many people have lost their homes and lives.
One group in Middle Georgia wants to do its part to help out. Macon Magnolia’s Little Latina Girls is collecting money donations to send to Mexico and Puerto Rico. They will do this at a Hispanic Heritage Art Exhibit at Taste and See, 546 Poplar St. in Downtown Macon.
“Right now they need our help,” said one of the organizers, Blanca Ramos-Huerta. “Any dollar, two dollars, five dollars, whatever amount you want to donate will be great.”
It all starts at 6 PM on Saturday, September 23rd. The money is going to local churches in both Mexico and Puerto Rico.
