GBI discovers two new types of fentanyl
CLEVELAND, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) has discovered two new types of new fentanyl. They say acrylfentanyl and tetrahydrofuran are two synthetic opioids that had not yet been seen by the GBI.
Officials say they can be absorbed through the skin and are very dangerous. They also say naloxone isn’t helpful if people come in contact with acrylfentanyl.
It is unknown how the human body will react to both drugs.
