OnStar rewards injured Macon public servant with big gift

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Eric John is still recovering from the injury he sustained while attending to a traffic call for the Macon-Bibb Fire Department on Interstate 75.

He was hit by a car and sent flying over five lanes of traffic. John suffered many broken bones and mental problems.

OnStar celebrated their 20th birthday by awarding John with a $20,000 donation. He was one of 20 people selected from across the country.
