Mercer’s annual Fan Appreciation Day set for August 13

MACON, Georgia (MERCER ATHLETICS) – Mercer University will host its annual Fan Appreciation Day on Saturday, August 13.

The day will begin with an autograph session from 11 a.m. to noon in the University Center. Fans will have a chance to meet their favorite Mercer fall athletes and pick up the official Mercer football and fall sport posters.

Following the autograph session Coach Lamb will take the team on the field to play in a scrimmage at 12:30 p.m. in Five Star Stadium.  The Bears will be preparing for the season opener against The Citadel on Thursday, Sept. 1 at 7 p.m. in Macon. Single game tickets for the opener will go on sale on Wednesday, August 3.

Everything will wrap up at 7 p.m. Saturday night with the women’s soccer home opener against Auburn, a team that reached the NCAA Sweet 16 last season. The match will be played at Bear Field.

All the events and activities on Fan Appreciation Day are free of charge.
