Officers confront man holding sword in Warner Robins

WARNER ROBINS, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Warner Robins Police officers found a man holding a sword at the intersection of Corder and Leverette Roads Monday morning.

A news release from the department says the man was uncooperative and told officers to shoot him.

Officers first used compressed air to shoot bean bag rounds at the man, but eventually had to use a taser on him.

He was taken for evaluation at the Houston Medical center.

The department’s public information officer said the man isn’t facing any charges at this time.

His name will be released if he is charged.
