Houston County beats Loganville 12-0 for state title

WARNER ROBINS, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – For the second time in three years, Houston County’s baseball team has won a state championship.

The Bears took the AAAAA crown Tuesday after a dominant 12-o win over Loganville in Game 3 of their best-of-3 series. The two teams had split their doubleheader on Monday.

For Houston County, Tanner Hall pitched five innings and gave up just one hit.

Up 2-0 in the third inning, HoCo’s Jake Fromm hit what was originally called a foul ball over the left field pole, but after a short discussion, the umpire ruled the hit fair. Two runs scored to make it 4-0.

The Bears tallied five runs in the third inning and added five more in the fourth. The game was shortened to five innings.
