Macon mother arrested for daughter’s death after 2 years
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Deputies with the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office made an arrest in the 2014 death of a Macon infant.
25-year-old Kawanna Oliver is facing a felony murder charge in the death of her daughter. She was arrested in west Macon around 10:00 a.m., Monday.
According to a news release by the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office, the infant was found unresponsive at a home on Newburg Avenue on April 7, 2014. Oliver told deputies her daughter was sleeping when she checked on her that morning, when she checked on her again she wasn’t breathing.
Oliver is also facing a first degree cruelty to children charge. No bond has been set.
