Mercer signs Vanderbilt QB transfer McCrary

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Mercer has signed Vanderbilt quarterback transfer Johnny McCrary.

The Decatur native, who redshirted in 2013, will have two years of eligibility remaining after enrolling at Mercer this summer. He’ll graduate from Vanderbilt in May.

In his two years with the Commodores, McCrary threw for more than 2,500 yards and tossed 15 touchdowns while adding more than 250 rushing yards and a pair of scores on the ground.
