Driver dies after crashing into parked tractor trailer

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A driver died after running off the road and into a parked tractor trailer in Bibb County.

It happened on Sheraton Drive near Sheraton Court in north Bibb around 12:15 Wednesday morning.

The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office says the car was going north on Sheraton Drive when it hit a guide wire and drove into the parking lot where the truck was parked.

The Scion hit a tree and the truck.

The driver was dead at the scene. He has been identified as 53-year-old Marty Larry Long.

The accident is currently under investigation.
