Sunny weather continues today, lows drop to the 30s tonight
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – High pressure shifts east and into our area, which will keep our dry pattern going through the weekend.
Highs are seasonable through the work week. The high today will be around 63, and by Friday, we’ll hit around 66. Overnight lows will be chillier than average in the low 30s tonight and tomorrow night. I’m forecasting sunny skies everyday this work week.
Ridging in the jet stream, plus winds shifting from north to south, will raise temperatures this weekend into the 70s. Overnight lows also become milder as they rise to upper 40s. Still, the dry pattern continues, delivering a fantastic weekend.
By early next week, a trough dips into the south and brings large amounts of rain into the area. Long-range models already show the possibility of up to 1 1/2 inches of precipitation between Monday and Wednesday.
