Macon teen robbed while walking to bus stop
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A Macon teen was robbed near the dead-end of Goodwin Drive.
According to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office, the armed robbery happened around 7:00 a.m., Wednesday. Deputies say a 16-year-old was walking to the bus stop when he was approached by two armed men. The victim’s phone, money, shoe and backpack.
The teen was able to described the suspects to deputies. After a search of the area investigators located the suspects and was able to arrest one. 19-year-old Michael Mitchell of Warner Robins taken into custody.
The second suspect was last seen headed toward Anthony Road wearing a red and black jacket with blue jeans.
