Unsigned football seniors can show off talents at February 6 showcase

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Many people don’t know that “National Signing Day” on February 3 is actually the start of the signing period, not the end.

If you’re an unsigned senior who believes you’ve got what it takes to play college football, you might be interested in the Unsigned Seniors Showcase February 6 at Lakewood Stadium in Atlanta.

An information session on recruiting and the showcase will be held Wednesday, January 27 at 6 p.m. Central High School.

Central football coach Jesse Hicks says buses will be provided for the showcase.

Last year, West Laurens High School sent nearly a dozen players to the showcase and all of them got scholarships, according to Hicks.
