Mayhem falls to SPHL leader Peoria, 3-1
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Mayhem dropped its third straight game Sunday, falling 3-1 to Peoria, the Southern Professional Hockey League’s best team.
The Rivermen (18-5-2) struck first with a first period goal by Adam Stuart. Ryan Michel tied it late in the period with a power play goal.
In the second period, Peoria’s Terrence Wallin slapped in a power play goal to put the Rivermen up 2-1. Former Macon player Mark Corbett added an empty net goal in the final minute.
Macon (10-15-3) visits Columbus on Friday. It’s next home game is Thursday, January 21 against Peoria.
