Despite cold front, it’s still mild for another few days

Middle Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Temperatures plummeted this morning, with temperatures 20+ degrees cooler than yesterday morning. Despite that, it’s still warmer than average for both the highs and lows today. However, tomorrow morning looks much closer to seasonable norms.

Average High/Low: 59/36
Today’s High/Low: 71/39

The mild temperatures will be much more apparent in the afternoon. Overnight lows were chilly this morning in the 40s, but tomorrow a few 30s will pop up.

A real cold shot and some actual winter weather arrives late in the week. A cold front enters the area Wednesday night through Thursday. There’s enough instability that we’re putting storm chances in the 7-Day on Thursday, and the amount of rain could be over an inch.

This is a much stronger front than yesterday’s that will bring northerly winds into the area as opposed to southerly winds. Expect humidity to drop like a rock starting Friday, and the highs and lows? Check these morning lows/afternoon highs out:

Friday: 40/56
Saturday: 29/54
Sunday: 25/56
Monday (1st day of winter): 34/60
