Georgia’s Faton Bauta will transfer

ATHENS, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Georgia quarterback Faton bauta will transfer.

Bauta, a graduate student, will be able to transfer to any school and be available to play immediately without sitting a year, according to a school release.

Bauta has played in all 12 games this year, mostly as the holder on special teams. Against No. 11 Florida, he was the starting quarterback, completing 15 of 33 passes for 154 yards and four interceptions.

He will not play in the Bulldogs’ bowl game. The destination will be announced Sunday.
