UPDATE: 4th man arrested and charged in connection to Larry Mitchell Ball Park shooting

UPDATE (JULY 21, 2022): Sheriff Joel Cochran with the Washington County Sheriff’s Office says that authorities have arrested 30-year-old Tontasious Jermall King of Wrightsville in connection to the late May shooting.

King is being charged with aggravated assault and reckless conduct. He is being held at the Washington County Jail pending a bond hearing in the Washington county superior court.


UPDATE (JULY 18, 2022): Sheriff Joel Cochran with the Washington County Sheriff’s Office tells 41NBC that 35-year-old Fredrick Leartist Smith of Wrightsville has been charged with Aggravated assault and Reckless Conduct in connection to the May 29th Larry Mitchell Park shooting. He’s being held at the Washington County Jail waiting for a bond hearing in Washington County Superior Court.


ORIGINAL STORY (JULY 13, 2022):

SANDERSVILLE, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — A man has been arrested in connection to the shooting that took place at the Larry Mitchell Ball Park in late May. This comes after the arrest of the first suspect, Ryan Rozier.

According to the Washington County Sheriff’s Office, 24-year-old Brian Keith Rozier of East Dublin was taken into custody without incident by the Macon division of the U.S. Marshal’s Southeast Regional Task Force in conjunction with the Atlanta division and the Georgia Bureau of Investigations.

Rozier is being charged with Malice Murder, Felony Murder, possession of a firearm in the commission of a crime, aggravated assault, and reckless conduct.
