Centerville Police Chief Resigns

CENTERVILLE, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Centerville’s police chief is resigning, that’s according to Mayor John Harley.

Chief Sidney Andrews is stepping down due to medical reasons.

Chief Andrews was out for months after a major surgery last year. His resignation will take effect on June 30th.

Andrews has been the chief for five years, and has work for the police department for nearly 15 years. Mayor Harley says they will decide what the city will do moving forward at their next council meeting.
