Bibb school transfer applications available

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The parents of Bibb County students have an opportunity to send their kids to a different school next year.

Student transfer applications are now available. Parents can request to send their children from their assigned school to another school in the district.

The school system isn’t required to provide transportation to the child’s new school. Parents who have children with special needs can also request a transfer.

Requests will be approved or denied on a lottery basis. A school will stop accepting transfers once the classroom capacity is reached. Parents can request a transfer for more than one school.
