Sun, Sun, and More Sun!

The weather continues to be very nice as we roll on into May.  There have been some clouds at times today, but overall a nice partly cloudy day.  VERY typical of May, but whats not is the lower humidity.  It is pretty dry out there.  That is good news and bad news.  We have finally caught up to our rainfall deficit for the year, and now we are going to go back closer to below with the dry weather, plus I am sure that doesn’t make the farmers happy.  There will be more sunshine throughout much of this week as well.  The warm and dry weather will continue, but moisture (ie humidity) will be increasing as we get closer to Friday.  The temperatures will also be starting to rise as well as we get closer to the weekend.  Highs could easitly push the mid 80’s by friday and into the weekend.

For the rest of tonight, the same old same old….Temperatures will cool back down into the mid 50’s by Tuesday morning.    There will be more sunshine Tuesday with highs in the low 80’s.

Tropics update:  The tropics are overall quiet, but there is some disturbed weather down near Cuba.  The forecast models are hinting on some slow development of that area.  At first, it doesn’t appear the low pressure will be tropical.. (basically means that its the same kind of low pressures we see in the winter time)  Models do slowly bring this feature north, then try to make it a tropical cyclone.  Now, here is the interesting part.  The GFS (the American Model) wants to develop this and eventually bring it into GA/SC by Friday morning.  If************** that happened, then that could give us a bit more clouds and maybe some rain chances.  The European model is saying I don’t think so friend…It has the system, much weaker, and pretty much parks it off the coast before getting swept out to sea.  IF******* that happens to be right, and I believe that to be the case as of now, then our temperatures would increase with the drier air and we would see no real benefit from it.  We will watch.
