A long dry period begins in Middle Georgia today
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — This write-up will be on the short side, but it’s for good reason: the forecast is so quiet! After lots of beneficial rainfall this month, dry weather takes over today with sunshine, breezy conditions with northwest winds at 10 – 15 mph and gusts potentially up to 20 mph, and low humidity.
A cold front enters the area, taking down temperatures a little tomorrow morning and afternoon. Tomorrow’s morning low will be in the upper 40s and low 50s, and the high will be in the mid 70s.
And after that? High pressure takes over for the extended period, keeping dry weather in our area. The difference is the winds will shift to the south next week, bringing warmer and more humid air into Middle Georgia. Expect the overnight lows to rise to the 50s and the afternoon highs to rise to the 80s.
Told you this would be short! Hope you enjoy.
