GC men’s basketball falls to North Georgia, 75-67
The Bobcats posted a trio of double-digit scorers, led by Terrell Harris (Indiantown, Florida) with 17. Senior Larrentis Thomas (McDonough) continued his tear with a 13-point, 12-rebound double-double, his fourth straight.
Junior Ryan Blumenthal (Kennesaw) came off the pine for 14 points, including 8-for-8 from the charity stripe.
The Bobcats were out-shot 42 percent (21-50) to 34 percent (21-61) from the field, and out-rebounded 43-33.
North Georgia got nearly all of its production from the starters, as four of the five reached double-figure scoring, led by 21 points from Ebo Smith, partially on 6-of-11 from long range.
Thomas entered the top-10 in Georgia College career rebounding tonight, passing both Willie Jones (1980-82) and George Askew (1996-2000) into ninth in school history with 489 boards. Up next is Johnny Simpson (1984-86) with 515.
The Bobcats are back in action Wednesday, Feb. 18 at 5:30 p.m., traveling to Clayton State University.
