Overtime 2nd annual “Taking Care of Each Other” collaboration feeds more than 250

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A Macon restaurant stepped up to help those in need this Thanksgiving season.

Overtime bar and grill held its second annual “taking care of each other” event Tuesday. The restaurant fed some of Macon’s less fortunate residents a Thanksgiving meal with all the trimmings.

The homeless men received free haircuts by local barbers. There were also free health screenings, including dental and blood pressure checks.

Overtime’s CEO says the event allows them to show their gratitude to Macon.

“We have a collaborative effort from people within the community that, have come in on today to make this day possible we’re giving back to the less fortunate,” says Charity Harris.

More than 250 people were fed. Budget Insurance, Central Georgia Technical College, and Helms College contributed to the event.
