FPD’s Dingler is America’s best freshman pole vaulter

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – It seems no jump is too high for FPD freshman pole vaulter Carson Dingler.

Here lately, record-setting jumps have been no problem.

At the Amateur Athletics Union (AAU) Junior Olympics last weekend in Des Moines, Iowa, Dingler jumped 12 feet, 7 inches to set an all-time meet record.  A week earlier at the USA Track and Field (USATF) Junior Olympics in Humble, Texas, she jumped even higher: 12 feet, 7.5 inches. That jump also set an all-time meet record.

Dingler is ranked as the best high school freshman in America.
