MHA donates $5,000 to Macon Regional Crimestoppers

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Macon Housing Authority dished out thousands of dollars to Macon Regional crimestoppers.

The housing authority donated five thousand dollars to the organization.

June Parker, CEO of the Macon Housing Authority says this is the first time her agency has ever donated to crimestoppers. The executive director of Macon Regional Crimestoppers, Chris Paul says the money will go to good use.

“We are thrilled that the Macon Housing Authority decided to donate this $5,000 to us for the help of locating criminals in our area,” says Paul.

“We realize the impact that it has in our neighborhoods as well as the Macon Bibb area, and could not find an organization that we could support more and we’re very proud of our collaboration in the past,” says Parker.

Crimestoppers offers cash rewards for tips in police criminal investigation.

Parker says her agency is looking forward to working more closely with Crimestoppers.
