Report: County Clerk for Jones County caught shoplifting

EATONTON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – County Clerk Connie Mize of Jones County was arrested for shoplifting on Friday May 30, according to the Eatonton Police Department.

A police report states a Wal-Mart employee saw Mize in the self-checkout line scanning items but placing several items she didn’t scan into her bag.

Mize was charged with Misdemeanor Shoplifting.

According to Putnam County Sheriff Howard Sills, she was taken to the Putnam County Jail and released on a $780.00 cash bond.
