Bibb BOE narrows down Superintendent qualities
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Members of the Bibb County Board of Education discussed what kind of Superintendent they want after restarting the search a few weeks ago.
At tonight’s board meeting, each member voiced their opinions on the next leader’s degree and experience.
Lester Miller says the group learned from its last hire.
“We have a different mixture of board members now as opposed to people previously when Dr. Dallemand was here, and I think we’re taking a, you know, more cautious approach this time to be more thorough to make sure we do a proper investigation,” said Miller. “And I think it’s a good mixture–board members. Everyone is entitled to their opinion and I think each and every board member should be heard.”
The board also voted to tentatively approve the 2015 budget.
A public hearing for that will be held June 19th.
