Weather Forecast for May 23, 2014

Temperatures climb to the 90s again, but there is a chance for cooler temperatures later in the forecast.  We’re expecting a high around 94 degrees today due to the continued ridging in the jet stream.  Tomorrow, 90s return during the afternoon.  Early next week, we’ll see our next system come into the area, which doesn’t look too impressive as far as rainfall amounts.  However, we do see a good chance for storms, and some could be severe. 

Due to the lack of a well-defined system early in the week, we’re still keeping rainfall chances low to moderate, but things could fluctuate as we get closer to next week.  Memorial Day is, of course, early next week, and we’ve currently plugged a low chance for rain/storms that day.  I always want to emphasize that low chance does not mean no chance, so don’t write rain/storms off completely!
