Weather Forecast for May 27, 2014

Storms could flare-up again today.  We have a summer-like pattern being driven by two things:

  1. Daytime Heating
  2. Instability in the Atmosphere

When it gets hot during the afternoon, the air is warm, and warm air rises.  Add enough convective energy in the air, and you get those afternoon flare-ups that are oh-so-common during the summer.  Of course, we’re not in the summer yet, but we’re getting there, and this is a typical pattern.  Due to that, we’ve put in moderate rainfall chances every day this week, along with hot temperatures.  Expect seasonable to mild overnight lows in the mid – upper 60s.
