MGSC Men Lose Heartbreaker on Free Throws, Milline Scores 40
Cochran, Georgia (MGSC RELEASE) – Roshaun Milline led the Knights with 40 points in a game against East Georgia State that ended with a foul call that gave the Bobcats the win, 85-84.
The Knights fell behind 2-0 to open the game but then led a charge that put them up 18-5 with 11 minutes to go in the first half. The Bobcats fought back to tie the game at 25 and the teams traded blows until halftime when it was 35-33 EGSC.
The second half went back and forth with multiple lead changes before EGSC opened a 13 point lead with 11:30 to go. The Knights then went on a 28-12 run to take the lead with 1:11 remaining in the contest. Milline hit three free throws in the final minute to make it 84-83 and EGSC got a shot with 3.1 seconds. A foul was called on the three point attempt with 0.3 seconds left and the Bobcats player hit two free throws that sealed the game for EGSC.
Jamaal Anderson added 10 points and 8 rebounds in the game while Javaris Hooks had 8 and 5 rebounds.
The Knights next game will be Wednesday at 7:30 against Central Georgia Tech in Cochran. The game will be shown live at www.ihigh.com/mgsknights.
