FGCU, Mercer Lead A-Sun at 4-1; JU and UNF Tied at 4-2

MACON, Ga. (A-SUN RELEASE) – With FGCU and Mercer tied atop the Atlantic Sun Men’s Basketball standings at 4-1, several teams are chasing the Eagles and Bears heading into this week’s slate of games.

On Thursday, USC Upstate travels to FGCU for an ESPN3 contest at Alico Arena, while Stetson hosts ETSU in the A-Sun CollegeInsider Showcase contest. The second ESPN3 contest of the night features Kennesaw State at Lipscomb as both teams try for their second A-Sun win, while Northern Kentucky hosts Mercer in Highland Heights where the Norse defeated the Bears last season.

On Friday, the River City Rumble takes place in the A-Sun/CSS Friday Night game as North Florida hosts Jacksonville at 7 p.m. in UNF Arena. Both teams enter the crosstown rivalry with 4-2 conference records.
