Warner Robins Youth Travel Football Team Stranded 2 Hours from Pensacola
WARNER ROBINS, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – We have an update for you on a story we brought you last week.
The Middle Georgia Lions, a 14 and under travel football team that’s part of an organization called Sahara Sports in Warner Robins, needs your help.
They’re supposed to be playing in a tournament in Pensacola this weekend. Instead, co-director Sharnell Harris tells us their bus is stuck about two hours away with two worn out tires.
They’re asking for you to help them pay for new tires.
There are two ways to help. First, they have a GoFundMe account. Just go to gofundme.com/saharasports. You can also give to their account at Robins Federal Credit Union using the account name “Sahara Sports.”
UPDATE:
Harris tells 41NBC one of the parents paid for the tires the bus needed, but the organization could still use your help to pay him back.
