Warner Robins Travel Football Teams Take 2nd, 3rd in Pensacola Tournament

WARNER ROBINS, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The 12U and 14U Sahara Sports Youth Football Teams finished 2nd and 3rd, respectively, in a regional tournament in Pensacola, Fla. over the weekend.

The 12U team fell to the Pensacola Browns 14-6 in their final game to claim 2nd place.  Jayden Roberts was selected team MVP.

The 14U team finished third, falling to the DST Titans of Fort Walton Beach, Fla. 8-0 in their final game.

The boys almost didn’t make it to the tournament.  The bus Sahara Sports uses needed new tires to make the trip, and two of them became severely worn on the way down. The two teams waited several hours at a truck stop before one of the boy’s parents purchased new tires.
