GCSU Women’s Basketball Receives Votes in National Top-25 Poll

LILBURN, Ga. (GCSU RELEASE) – The Georgia College women’s basketball team received five votes in the most recent USA TODAY Sports Division II Top-25 Coaches’ Poll. The undefeated 6-0 Bobcats are off to their best start since the 2006-07 season.

Two other upcoming Bobcat opponents were also listed. The University of North Georgia, who Georgia College will play Jan. 4 and 15, also received 14 votes in the poll. Currently ranked No. 7 Clayton State University is also slated to meet the Bobcats Jan. 29 and Feb. 12. The GC women’s basketball team’s best start in the last decade occurred during the 2003-04 season when the Bobcats went 11-0.

The USA TODAY Sports board of coaches is made up of 33 head coaches at Division II institutions and they are all members of the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA).
