MGSC Finishes Season 11-0, Will Play in NCFA National Championship Game
COCHRAN, Georgia (MGSC RELEASE) – The Middle Georgia State Knights will play in the The National Club Football Association (NCFA) National Championship Game in Salem, Virginia on December 7.
The Knights finished the regular season 10-0 and picked up their 11th win with a victory in the South Atlantic Conference Championship Game on Saturday over OC Tech, 26-24. The win ensured them the No. 1 berth in the upcoming national championship game.
The Knights will face Coppin State University out of Maryland. Coppin State won the 2012 NCFA National Championship and finished this season as the No. 2 team with an 8-2 record. Coppin State won the Mid Atlantic Conference Championship Saturday 40-3 over George Mason University.
The Knights have averaged 36.6 points per game on offense while only giving up 9.5 points per game on defense. The Eagles have averaged 20.2 points per game on offense while giving up 10.6 points per game on defense.
The game will be shown live on the NCFA Ustream Channel. Kickoff from Salem Stadium is set for 6 p.m.
