Man killed in single car accident on I-75

An early morning traffic accident on I-75 cost a man his life. According to a release from a the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office the single car crash took place around 1:30 a.m. Sunday on I 75 southbound near Arkwright Road.

According to witnesses,  a vehicle that was driven by 32-year-old Stevie Jones Jr. of Macon, was traveling south on Interstate 75. Jones lost control of his vehicle and then went off of the roadway. The vehicle went between two guardrails and then struck a sign post.

Jones was pronounced deceased at the scene, according to Coroner Miley.
