GC Women’s Basketball Helps Out at Boys and Girls Club
MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. (GCSU RELEASE) – Head coach Maurice Smith and the Georgia College women’s basketball team recently helped out with academic services at the Boys and Girls Club Monday, Sept. 23.
The Georgia College women’s basketball team visited the Boys and Girls Club of Milledgeville Sept. 23, helping the children with their homework as part of the Boys and Girls Club “Power Hour” of focusing on academics. Afterword, the Bobcats had a few fun activities to remind the youngsters about staying healthy and active.
“The Boys & Girls Club is a great opportunity for us to get out and service the community,” said Smith. “We love sharing our time with the kids to help them with homework, play games with them, or just hear about their day. They’re a great bunch and we’re so thankful to be able to be a part of their lives.”
Be sure to support the GC women’s basketball team as their season will tip-off in mid-November. Stay tuned to www.GCBobcats.com for the release of the 2013-14 season schedule.
