Young Children to Participate in ‘Read for the Record Day’
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Junior League of Macon is participating in the nationwide event “Read for the Record Day” to help encourage kids to read as well as improve their literary and school readiness. Junior league members Crystal Terrill and Jennifer Sheldon stopped by Daybreak to talk about what is going on in Middle Georgia.
“Read for the Record Day” is Jumpstart’s national campaign on Thursday, October 3. Young children are encouraged to read the book Otis by Loren Long. For more information, visit www.jstart.org.
