$500 Reward for Missing Taylor Co. Man Info.

Mitch Posey had to come up with something to tell his brother’s children when they asked where their dad was on Christmas morning. James “Trey” Byers has been missing since December 18th and his family members are desperate for answers.
“Well I mean, what did we tell them? That he was helping Santa Claus you know. We had to come up with something, you know,” said Mitch Posey.

“He had on a black long sleeve shirt with a navy hoodie and a pair of light colored blue jeans. He told his step dad that he’d be back around four or five o’clock Sunday afternoon and we haven’t seen him since,” said Michelle Posey Young, Byers’ mother.

“He seemed just like he always did, he didn’t seem like he had any troubles he wasn’t worried about nothing. He just talked like he always did to me. He told me when he went to hang up he said I’ll text y’all tomorrow evening, I’m supposed to home around 4 or 5 o’clock. I’ll text y’all or y’all can call me and that’s the last I know,” said Jimmy Byers, Trey Byers’ father.
Trey Byers is described as 5’6 with a medium build of around 150 fifty pounds. Byers has star tattoos on the front of his shoulders. After 11 days without hearing from their son, Trey’s parents need any hope they can find.
“Anybody that knows anything please come forward and let us know, we need him home bad. We love you, we miss you and your kids they miss you a whole lot, they’re crying, wanting you home at night so please come home. If you see this, please, if anybody knows where he’s at please tell us,” said Byers and Young.
A $500 reward is being offered for information about Trey Byers. Anyone with information about the disappearance is urged to contact the Taylor County Sheriff’s office at (478) 862-5444.
