All Bags to be Checked Daily at Little League Southeast Region Tournament

WARNER ROBINS, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The annual Southeast Region Little League
Softball Tournament is quickly approaching, and we have some changes to tell you about.

For the first time, all bags will be checked upon entrance to the complex, located on Snellgrove Drive.

Each day, a colored tag will be placed on each bag to show that it’s already been checked.  Those colors will change each day, so if you’re going more than one day, be prepared to have your bag checked every time you visit.

Aside from bag checks, also remember no coolers, tobacco, pets, firearms or alcohol are allowed
at the facility.

As far as the games themselves go, officials say it’s almost time to play ball.

“If the rain holds up enough, we’ll be perfectly fine and ready to go other than just a few small touches here and there and just getting some things up like banners and signs,” says Assistant Southeastern Region Director Matt Weber.  “Other than that, we’ll be ready to roll on Thursday.”

The softball tournament starts Thursday morning at 10 a.m.  This year, the state of Georgia will be represented by Toccoa Little League out of Athens.  They’ll play Thursday at 4 against South Carolina.

The baseball tournament is still a few weeks away– it starts August 2nd.
