Warner Robins City Employees Could See Salary Increase in April
WARNER ROBINS, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Warner Robins City Council votes to give city employees a pay raise for the last three months of the fiscal year, but not everyone is in support of moving money around to make it happen right now.
In order to pay the employees based on the findings of the Carl Vinson Pay Study, nearly $200,000 needs to be transferred into the salary and benefits fund. Councilman Paul Shealy presented the ordinance that would amend the 2011-2012 budget to make this happen. $161, 873.91 will be taken from the general fund. $35,366.61 will be moved from the water and sewer fund.
Councilman Daron Lee believes amending the budget for a non-emergency isn’t ideal.
