FORSYTH, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office is warning about a rental scam involving Holiday Cove Apartments in Forsyth.

In a Facebook post, the sheriff’s office said someone using the name “Sheehan Kevin” on social media is trying to advertise and rent apartments at the property.

The sheriff’s office says it confirmed the person is not the property manager and has no authorization to rent or lease apartments there. The post included a screenshot of a social media profile displaying that name.

The sheriff’s office urges anyone considering renting at Holiday Cove or another property to verify they’re dealing directly with legitimate property management before providing personal information, signing documents or sending money.
