Baldwin County graduation rate jumps nearly 5 points to 86%

The district’s graduation rate increased by nearly 5 percentage points from last year, while Georgia’s statewide rate was 88.5%.

MILLEGEVILLE, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT)- Baldwin County School District’s graduation rate climbed to 86% in 2026, an increase of nearly 5 percentage points from last year, according to a news release from the school district.

The district’s rate remains below Georgia’s statewide graduation rate of 88.5% for 2026, a difference of 2.5 percentage points.

District leaders say the increase reflects continued work to keep students on track for graduation through academic support and student monitoring.

“This growth is a testament to the hard work of our students and the dedication of the teachers, staff, administrators, families, and community partners who support them throughout their educational journey,” Superintendent Dr. Kristina Brooks said.

Brooks said the district plans to build on the improvement as it works to prepare students for college, careers, and life after high school.

The district says it will continue strengthening academic supports, tracking student progress, and providing opportunities aimed at helping students reach graduation.
