GBI: Nine-month Macon drug investigation leads to 7 arrests

The GBI says agents executed arrest warrants and searched two Macon locations, seizing suspected drugs, firearms and more than $7,000.

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — Seven people were arrested and 11 firearms were seized Tuesday as part of a nine-month drug investigation in Macon.

According to a news release from the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, the GBI’s Middle Georgia Gang Task Force executed arrest warrants for three people. Agents then searched two locations in Macon, leading to four additional arrests.

The GBI said agents seized 16 ounces of suspected methamphetamine, four ounces of suspected fentanyl and 18 ounces of suspected marijuana. They also say they seized assorted pills suspected to be oxycodone and Xanax, 11 firearms and more than $7,000.

All seven people were booked into the Bibb County Jail.

Arrests and charges

The GBI identified those arrested as:

21-year-old Joseph Eugene Robinson of Macon: Arrested on outstanding warrants for trafficking methamphetamine and charged with possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, possession of a Schedule II controlled substance and possession of a Schedule IV controlled substance.
32-year-old Martaviyus Tremoses Collins of Warner Robins: Charged with possession of a firearm by a felon, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and a probation violation.
29-year-old Terrell Shemar Moore of Macon: Arrested on three outstanding warrants for trafficking methamphetamine.
26-year-old Egypt Elizabeth Lumpkin of Macon: Charged with seven counts of possession of a firearm by a felon, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, possession of methamphetamine, possession of a Schedule IV controlled substance and possession of a Schedule II controlled substance. The GBI said Lumpkin was also wanted in Morgan County on drug distribution charges.
29-year-old Chris’Shayla Denise Miller of Macon: Charged with seven counts of possession of a firearm by a felon, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, possession of methamphetamine, possession of a Schedule IV controlled substance, possession of a Schedule II controlled substance and trafficking fentanyl.
38-year-old Quinton Lamar Johnson of Forsyth: Charged with trafficking fentanyl, possession of a firearm by a felon, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, possession of methamphetamine and a probation violation.
34-year-old Jessica King of Warner Robins: Arrested on outstanding Bibb County warrants for financial identity fraud and Houston County warrants for failure to appear on a methamphetamine possession charge.

The investigation involved the GBI’s Middle Georgia Gang Task Force, Oconee Drug Task Force and Ocmulgee Drug Task Force.

Other participating agencies included the Georgia State Patrol, Georgia Department of Community Supervision, Georgia Department of Corrections and sheriff’s offices in Bibb, Houston and Peach counties.
