The tech giant also introduced the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max, AirPods 5, Apple Watch Series 12 and Apple Watch Ultra 4.The foldable iPhone Duo starts at $1,999 and is about the size of a passport.
Meanwhile, drivers facing higher prices at the pump continue to show loyalty to their favorite gas station brands.The USA Today Cars team ranked Shell as the most popular gas station brand, with more than 12,000 locations nationwide. 7-Eleven followed closely behind, also with more than 12,000 locations.
On Wall Street, the Dow has lost 1,000 points so far this week as oil prices continue to climb. Oil crossed $100 per barrel for the first time since July.
A new Gallup survey also found satisfaction with the U.S. K-12 education system has fallen to an all-time low among American parents. Just 32% said they were completely or somewhat satisfied with the country’s education system, while 67% said they were dissatisfied. Another survey found seven in 10 parents believe raising children today requires a wider circle of trust than it did a generation ago.
The nationwide Talker Research poll of 2,000 parents with children ages 6 and younger found 71% believe they must place more trust in others to support their child’s well-being than their own parents did. The survey, conducted on behalf of The Goddard School, also found nine in 10 dual-income households said they work out of necessity, highlighting the role childcare plays in allowing parents to remain in the workforce.
